National Day of Prayer

Sunday, March 15, 2020, has been designated a National Day of Prayer by the President of the United States. In view of the current crisis with the coronavirus pandemic, we encourage everyone to set aside special time to pray and intercede for our nation and the countries of the world, especially those most severely affected by this disease. The Bible says that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear…” (Psalm 46:1-2). May we earnestly seek the mercy of the Lord to help in this emergency. Lift up those who are ill that they will be healed and seek God’s comforting grace for those who have lost loved ones. Also, pray for medical workers, doctors, and scientists, who are working to combat this disease and help those affected.

Please pray for the financial needs of those affected by this crisis, including the church. If you can send in your offering or sign up for e-giving, this would be a true blessing.

We are collecting non-perishable food items, bottled water, and hygiene and paper products to help those who may be home-bound during this time. If you would like to help, please drop off these items at the church during our regular business hours (Monday through Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.). Contact the church office if you are in need or have questions about how to help (205-798-3341).
