Westwood ARTS – Ballet│Irish│Visual Arts

Westwood Arts School is a ministry of Westwood Baptist Church and under the direction of Cindy Best. We are committed to excellence and quality instruction of dance and visual art. We desire to see students grow a love for the arts and the joy of movement, to grow technically and artistically as dancers and artist, and to grow in their knowledge and understanding of Jesus and using their talents for His glory.

NOT YOUR ORDINARY Performing Arts SCHOOL

Classes at Westwood Arts are offered in progressive levels and include classical ballet, tap, lyrical, traditional Irish dance and Visual Arts . Christmas performances as well as an annual Spring Performance offers students performing experience and is presented to the community at no charge. The student population is made up of students from surrounding cities.

FEES
ALL Classes Registration Non refundable – $45
Ballet Costume & performance fee – $150 due in October
Irish Costume & performance RENTAL fee – $75 due in October
Visual Art – $60 Art supply fee due at Registration $50 Art Exhibit fee due October.

Register online through Dance Studio Pro. Use your primary email address to register. If you are a current student, use your existing account. Please be sure to go all the way through the registration process and pay registration fee to insure you are enrolled.

Dress Code

*Leotards should have no decorations or attached skirts. Any sleeve length is fine. NO camisoles. Cover up is required to and from parking lot.

Ballet

3-8 Year Olds
Modest black leotard, pink footed tights, and pink leather ballet shoes.

9+ year Olds
Modest black leotard, unattached black skirt, pink footed or convertible tights, and pink canvas technique shoes

Irish

Modest black shorts or leggings, school issued t-shirt or Feis t-shirt, poodle socks, and ghillie shoes.

Visual Arts

Modest attire that can be painted in.

Additional Information:

3/4 year olds must be potty trained to participate
Students should be of age or grade by September 1^st
To make a class, there needs to be a minimum of 6 students enrolled
Westwood Arts reserves the right to determine the class level for every student through its evaluation procedures, regardless of prior, recent or current training.
