Westwood Baptist Church will celebrate the Cross and Resurrection of Christ on Holy Week. On Wednesday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. we will have our Holy Week Service, featuring the Lord’s Supper in the sanctuary. On Sunday, March 31, we invite you also to our Sunday School classes at 9:00 a.m. for a special church

New Bible Studies starting soon. Westwood Baptist Church will celebrate our 75th Anniversary on Sunday, September 18, 2022. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be followed by a fellowship lunch for everyone. Our guest preacher will be Dr. Chris Crain, Executive Director of the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association. The music will be led by Rev. Shawn Stinson.

Our Senior Adults will resume their monthly lunch meetings on Tuesday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The special guest speaker will be Rev. Nathan Lyons, the Youth & Family Ministries Pastor of First Baptist Church Birmingham. The menu will be chicken and dressing.

The Youth Group will have an ’80’s Skate Night event on Saturday, August 27, 4:00-9:00 p.m. in the Gym and Fellowship Hall. This is for students 7th to 12th grades. Bring your best ’80s Costume and invite a friend!

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Children’s Ministry will have a Cookie Bake for First Responders. This event is in memory of Diana Ames who worked so faithfully with our children for many years. We are going to meet up at the church at 9:00 am to make cookies for our area fire department staff

Our 2022 Vacation Bible School “Spark Studios” will be on June 20-24, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. each evening, Monday through Friday. There are classes for children 5K through 6th Grade. Join us on Sunday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. for our Resurrection Day Celebration. The worship service will feature a drama by the youth group.
